Mateus Tesson-Kiss

a French dancer born in Fortaleza, Brazil, first trained as a high-level gymnast for ten years before transitioning to dance. He studied at the Ballet Junior de Genève, where he graduated in 2019. During his training, he worked with renowned choreographers such as Hofesh Shechter, Alexander Ekman, Maguy Marin, Thomas Hauert, Olivier Dubois, Jozsef Trefeli, and Barak Marshall.

After graduating, Mateus collaborated on various projects, including working with Orly Portal in Israel and Rebecca Spinetti in Switzerland. In 2020, he joined DART Dance Company, where he contributed both as a dancer and in the company’s management.

​

Throughout his career, Mateus has worked with distinguished choreographers and teachers such as Keren Lurie Pardes, Clyde Emmanuel Archer, Gustavo Ramírez Sansano, and Blenard Azizaj. He has also taught contemporary dance, acrobatics, improvisation, and creative work for both the company and the DART DSP Program.

Mateus has choreographed several independent pieces for various companies and dance programs, including By Oneself(2022), While I Sleep (2023), After a While in the Exile (2024), and While I Was Born (2024).

In 2021, he co-founded Nossetssik Dance Company in Montpellier, France, alongside Tamás Tesson-Kiss.
